Understanding Game Mechanics

Understanding the game's core mechanics is essential for survival. This guide covers everything from light systems to special customer encounters. For step-by-step walkthroughs, see Complete Walkthrough. For phone mechanics, see Phone System Secrets.
Core Gameplay Loop
The Basic Cycle
- Customer arrives at service window
- Read order on display board
- Gather ingredients from storage
- Prepare shawarma on work table
- Wrap and throw to window
- Repeat until shift ends
Time Management
Each night has a set duration with varying numbers of customers:
- Night 1: 5-7 customers (8-10 minutes)
- Night 2: 7-10 customers (12-15 minutes)
- Night 3: 10-15 customers (15-20 minutes)
Efficient service is key to avoiding overwhelming situations.
Light System Mechanics
Normal Lighting
When lights are functioning normally:
- Full visibility of workspace
- Can see customers clearly
- Easy ingredient identification
- No immediate danger
Flickering Lights
When lights start flickering:
- Warning sign of incoming danger
- Usually precedes ghost encounters
- Signals need to hide under table
- Audio cues help identify timing
Complete Darkness
When lights go completely out:
- Power outage event
- Must fix fuse box in backyard
- Navigate by memory
- Time-sensitive task
The Ghost Calling Event
The Poster Mechanic
During your shift, a Wanted Poster or image may suddenly appear, showing a specific ghostly figure. This is a test of your observation skills.
- Identify the Target: Look at the poster carefully to see which ghost is currently active.
- Scan the Outside: Look out the windows or door (carefully!) to find the matching figure. Common locations include near the lightpost or in the darkness.
- Call the Number: Once you confirm the correct figure is present, use your phone to call the specific "Ghost Number" associated with the event.
⚠️ Warning: Decoys
Be extremely careful not to confuse the target with other entities. Players have reported seeing a "Trash Bag Man" or generic "Black Figures" that are NOT the target. Calling for the wrong entity will fail the event. Only call if the figure outside matches the poster exactly.
