Understanding Game Mechanics
Understanding the game's core mechanics is essential for survival. This guide covers everything from light systems to special customer encounters.
Light System
Lights are crucial to your survival. When the lights go out, you need to go to the backyard and fix them immediately. Don't delay - darkness brings danger. If lights flicker while a ghost is present, close your eyes and wait for the lights to come back on.
Customer Types
Normal customers have simple orders. The siblings swap their orders - give the first sibling what the second wants and vice versa. The meat customer requires you to throw the meat to them. The Strange Man, Mafia, and special customers have corrupted orders that may be hard to read without the game pass.
Ghost Encounters
When you see a ghost, close your eyes immediately and wait. Don't move or interact until the lights are back on. Looking at ghosts or shadows can result in instant death. The ceiling shadow is a trap - never look up at it.
Phone System
The phone is a critical tool with multiple functions. The phone guy calls you at the start of each night with essential rules - always listen carefully. You can also dial numbers yourself:
One-Time Save Feature: Call the save number mentioned by the phone guy. On your first call, he'll ask if you really want to save. Call a second time to confirm and save your progress. When you die, use 'Revive' to continue from that point. This save only works once per run and replaces the revive function.
Secret Numbers: Try calling 1987 (unlocks Call of 87 badge on Night 2), 1304 (secret message), and experiment with other combinations. Note: 1-801 is just a joke number with nothing there!
Important: The phone is disabled during special event nights like Halloween.
Event Mechanics
Special events like Halloween introduce unique mechanics. The Halloween event featured:
Vampire: Use garlic to ward off the vampire customer
Bats: Flying creatures that steal food from your station
Pumpkins: When the pumpkin guy asks you to calm his little pumpkins, throw lettuces at them. The phone guy provides hints at the start of the event - listen carefully to all instructions.
Events are time-limited and offer exclusive badges. Make sure to participate while they're active!
